Upland California Westin Hotel
Irvine-based Pendulum Property Partners is planning a hotel, restaurant and brewery on the Target site, as well as plans for a new restaurant, bar and retail space in the area. The 90,000-square-foot hotel will have a rooftop bar where groups can have common areas, Scott said, as well as an outdoor terrace. The focus is on a 570-unit apartment community aimed at young professionals from the Lewis Group Companies in Upland. All of this is part of efforts to revitalize an area that has become a leisure district, he said.
The Lewis Group has also been awarded the contract to build a 1,000-unit residential building on the site of a former grocery store in Upland. The hotel is part of efforts to implement plans for the area, which include a grocery shopping mall, a hotel, restaurant, bar and retail space, Scott said. There will also be parking because the hotel is close to charging facilities for electric vehicles, he said.
